The Riverboats

Rock & Pop1
Price from £978
Location: Essex

The Riverboats are a covers band with a large repertoire of rock, indie and pop at our disposal. Never a dull moment, they will make your party or event one to remember. With tight rhythm, bags of energy and powerful four-piece vocals, The Riverboats' goal is simply to play great music that ensures everyone gets up and dances.

With an ecclectic mix of new and classic rock and pop hits, there really is something for everyone.

We are a four-piece band, comprising of two guitarists / vocalists, one bassist and one drummer. We are all experienced musicians, having all played in touring bands over the years, and will conduct ourselves in a professional and polite manner.

We choose our songs based on audience reaction and feedback over the years, a constantly evolving process of honing after each performance. The result, we feel, is a lively, interesting and diverse set, full of numbers that most people will instantly recognise.

We normally play two sets of one hour each, but this is flexible. Should you require it, we can provide music for the breaks when we're not playing, by means of a laptop playlist running through the PA.

"Would recommend them without hesitation" We hired The Riverboats for our wedding a couple of weeks ago and have no regrets - the guys are absolutely lovely and great fun, which comes through in their music. Their selection of songs was fresh and upbeat and had a good mixture of old and new. They were happy to learn a couple of extra songs to request, including our first dance, and laid on a rehearsal so we could go listen before the big day and make sure we were happy with the arrangement.

They were very professional and accommodating, and were even happy to loan instruments when the groom's band asked if they could put on an impromptu performance and knock out a couple of songs.

They helped make the day special, and we're grateful to them for their hard work and overwhelmingly positive attitude. We would recommend them without hesitation.

Thanks very much guys!
The new Mr and Mrs Campbell.

"Absolutely MADE the party!" These guys performed at my 30th party last year (2012), they absolutely MADE the party! They played a fantastic range of songs that everyone knew, kept everyone moving and as the night went on the atmosphere really built up! Friends were saying how good the night and band were weeks after. Thanks for being so friendly, professional and great fun chaps – my brother’s 30 next yr and has mentioned you, so will be in touch!

"Better than 5 stars!!" We booked The Riverboats for our wedding in July. We did a lot of research but decided on the Riverboats as we liked their set-list and demos on their website. As soon as we got in touch with them, we knew that we had made the right choice!
They were excellent at staying in touch with us (we booked a long way in advance,) replying to emails promptly and they were extremely accommodating. They put up with all our questions and demands, setting up early, providing music and a microphone for our meal/speeches and they split their sets up exactly as we wanted!
We trusted their expertise and professionalism and went with their own choices for playlists for both the day and evening. We were very pleased we did; great songs all round.
They arrived on time and dressed appropriately for the occasion.
Their performance was absolutely brilliant and got everyone dancing. We loved their song choices and the energy that they put into it (their remix of Fresh Prince of Bel Air and House of Pain was a particular floor-filler!) They also put music on for their well-deserved breaks between sets to keep the party going.
A few of the most excitable of our guests actually got up on stage with Ian to sing who dealt with it in good humour and got them involved. It all added to the great atmosphere that they helped to create.
We can't recommend them highly enough, everyone at the wedding is still raving about them months later; and they were amazing value for money! You will not regret booking the Riverboats.

Now I'm off to check to see if we can make one of their local gigs...!

"People would not stop talking about how good the band was" Absolutely unbelievably good, they genuinely made our wedding special and we're so grateful. People would not stop talking about how good the band was and they were a joy to deal with (thanks Ian!). Thank you so much to the whole band, top marks.

"You will not go wrong with The Riverboats" The Riverboats played at my wedding reception on 31st August 2013. On the run up to the wedding, they were really helpful, answering all my questions and offering advice if I needed it.
My husband and I were very particular about the music we'd like (and even more particular about what we didn't!) but again, nothing was too much trouble. We built a set list together based on their catalogue and our music tastes and still managed to keep all the guests happy.
On the day, they were in touch via text message, worked around our schedule and put on a cracking set. They learnt a song especially for the day (and played it fantastically) and dedicated a song to Mother of the Bride! Something for everyone.
If you're looking for a friendly, laid back but professional wedding band, you will not go wrong with The Riverboats. Great musicians and lovely people.
